5 Business Leadership Skills (Part 4 of 5)

In today's company leadership is essential to moving the business to profitability.  There are several leadership traits that distinguish corporations.  I am writing about the following 5:
  • Lead by Example
  • Organization
  • Delegate/Empowerment
  • Communication
  • Risk Tolerance
Communication is a key to success.  The communication from a leader needs to be precise, specific and concise.  Get to the point and project confidence in all communications.  Ensure the big picture is communicated and understanding of how every role is critical to the success of the organization.

A key part of communication is listening skills.  To effectively motivate listening to understand will lead to the ability to make decisions more aligned with the strategy and move the business to the next level of profitability.

John Quincy Adams quote is timeless, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
