5 Business Leadership Skills (Part 2 of 5)

In today's company leadership is essential to moving the business to profitability.  There are several leadership traits that distinguish corporations.  I am writing about the following 5:
  • Lead by Example
  • Organization
  • Delegate/Empowerment
  • Communication
  • Risk Tolerance
Organization is a key trait.  In order to accomplish multiple tasks it is required to be organized in the direction.  A disorganized leader isn't leading and is spending more time putting out fires.  The team being led will also become disorganized which will lead to a challenge of moving the business to the next level of profitability.

Lean manufacturing teaches 5s as a means to increased productivity.  These principles can be utilized throughout the disciplines within the company.  Organization leads to greater productivity of the leader and raises the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

William Pollard states it well, “Information is a source of learning. But unless it is organized, processed, and available to the right people in a format for decision making, it is a burden, not a benefit.”
