Brain Rules - 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home and School by John Medina
The book, Brain Rules, is well written and brings back the basic understanding of how the brain was wired to ensure human survival. The 12 principles are key to understanding the optimization of learning both personally and when training. (12 principles; Exercise, Survival, Wiring, Attention, Short-Term Memory, Long-Term Memory, Sleep, Stress, Sensory integration, Vision, Gender, and Exploration).
I found the book useful as I work in an office environment and the writing offered tips to ensure the constant stimulation of the brain. We are wired to survive, solve problems, in a changing environment and the writing provides strategies to optimize interactions. I recommend this book to increase efficiency at work, school, and home.
