10 Leadership Qualities

To lead effectively today, a dynamic, driven leader is essential to open up the growth potential of an organization. The following are 10 key leadership qualities:





1. Lead By Example. The basis of leadership. Lead by example with confidence.

2. Passion. To effectively lead - you must be passionate in your beliefs. A passionate leader will attract a team with passion and exponentially increase the growth potential of the shareholder.

3. Organized. The team's productivity is dependent on organization. Time is wasted due to a disorganized leader will frustrate top performers. Disorganization leads to chasing your tail. Organization is a key to productivity.

4. Delegate. You are only good as the team that stands behind it. The key to delegating letting employee's take ownership of the job assigned.

5. Ownership. A leader owns the results and inspires a team environment. Review of resources are key to ensuring the future sustainability of the organization.

6. Communication. Communicate, Communicate, Communicate. Only a percentage of communication is heard and even less is understand. Ensure the big picture is communicated to bring understanding of the value an employee brings to the organization. When a team or individual is successful - communicate and recognize it.

7. Decisive. Get to the point. Be precise, specific and concise.

8. Risk. To create change you must raise the level of your risk tolerance. The rewards of improved profits is within the organization.

9. Listen. A key to effectively leading is the ability to listen for understanding. To motive employees - listening, asking questions, and understanding is essential.

10, Follow. The team is dynamic and in place is self managed. To be an effective leader you must have the ability to follow. If you can not follow - you are a Dictator.
